Seeing Signs

Today's post really isn't a shameless attempt to get you to read yesterday's.  Really.  Although it won't cost you a single dime to click over.

This is just a goofy post about a couple of signs I've seen that make me laugh.  The first was a banner that I saw hanging on a storefront while driving with my sister last week.  It read:

Huge Baby Sale

And I thought, "You know, I'm not really in the mood to buy any huge babies today, thank you very much."

My all-time favorite sign, though, has to be the one that shows up in front of a local church at about this time every year.  It reads:

Praise Festival
and
Youth Explosion

And I have to wonder, "Do they have to get a special permit for that?  Should I be wearing a safety helmet?" and "How do they decide which youths to explode?  Do they ask for volunteers?  Or, maybe they just pick out the really bad ones."

Nancy, I liked your post yesterday. I always thought the aliens were symbolic of horrible things that are out of our control. That being said, it was one of my favorite movies. It means a lot to me personally. As far as strange signs go, the most humorous (or should I say disturbing) sign I ever saw was outside one of those mega-drugstores. It read "Tampons and teasets on sale here". Whaaaaaaaat???

Thanks, Jodi. Looking forward to hanging out with you in heaven someday. I'm sure we'll have much to discuss!
