Update: Of course, the day I announce I'm under construction is the day my dear friend Diana Trautwein includes me here among some truly spectacular bloggers. If you're visiting from either Diana or Sarah's place, I do apologize about all the dust and dirt. Might I suggest a peak at my post about Habakkuk and Miracle Max? (from The Princess Bride)
Thanks for stopping by. And abundant thanks to both Diana and Sarah Bessey.
Can't you just hear the hammers pounding and power tools buzzing? (And me, periodically using my angry words when I smash my thumb with one of those hammers?)
I'm really doing it. I'm on the move to Word Press under the capable supervision of Peter Pollock of New Blog Hosting. He's capable, more patient with me than a human being should have to be and, through his work, is helping to build wells in Africa.
Kinda makes you want to break stuff on your blog just to hire him, doesn't it?
Anyway. I'll be offline for a couple of days while I'm unpacking boxes and rearranging furniture at the new place. When the site goes live, magical internet wizards should automatically direct you over to the new place.
For those who have been following me via Google Friend Connect (if your picture is in that nifty little box on the sidebar) you won't be able to follow me that way anymore. Please keep in touch, though. You can:
Subscribe to posts,
Like my Facebook Page,
Or follow me on the Twitter.
See you on the other side. (Now where did I put my duct tape and Philips head screwdriver?)

offline a few days? how will i handle that? you better be on facebook still .
you are a brave soul.
Good luck on the move. Congrats on the upgrade. Can't wait to see the new look.
Thanks for the heads up! I subscribed. I just switched to wordpress. It was frustrating at first, like an old dog with new tricks. After a few days, though, I got the hang of it and now I love it! See you soon!
Nancy, you are forging the way for us, pioneering in the internet world. Why, you can pave the way with your 'how-to's' whenever the next wise one of us decides to jump ship and move on over to Wordpress.
I DO hope you'll keep the lovely picture of those mountains somewhere. It says, "Nancy's place" to me every time I see it.
Good luck!
Not sure I'm really pioneering--I ran hard into a brick wall, so Peter did the actual transfer work. Now I'm just tidying up the new place before it goes live. And...thanks for the kind thoughts about the mountains. They're kind of special to me. :)
I hope you're wearing your boa as you build. Can't wait to see your new place.
I'm making the move too, Nancy. I've been moving since January. Maybe we'll get there together?
You will be soooo happy, especially "after" the move, it is a pretty dusty affair. Speaking of affairs, I'm having a internet-love-affair with the guy that helped me move to wordpress.
One of my future blogs will be dedicated to Jake, the dear man that made it possible for me to move from blogger to wordpress without having to do all the heavy lifting.
For the record, I LOVE HIM!
oh how exciting! can't wait to see the new place :) xo
