Which makes it awfully difficult to find one's way into Narnia from my yard, let me tell you.
The beloved Swede and I took a break from snow shoveling last week and traveled to visit the newlyweds, now living in Pittsburgh Steeler nation. I thought it best not to advertise on the internet that I was away from home, so I didn't. Thanks to those of you who stopped by, asked about my whereabouts, and offered to send out search and rescue teams--you touched my heart deeply. But while I enjoy blogging, and love you dear people I've gotten to know here in blog world, I really, really, really like getting away with the beloved Swede.
And even though it's Tuesday I'm going to post my Multitude Monday gratitude list, because I have much this week for which to give thanks.

755. Finally, finally, finally getting a decision about our son's future plans!
756. Getting the decision we'd hoped for, thanks be to God!
757. Those who wept and prayed and walked with us through this wilderness experience
758. Young nephews who love having their big cousin spend the day with them.
759. Get-away with the beloved Swede.
760. A quiet hotel room and a stack of books.
761. Time to rest and think and write and pray.
762. A steaming hot crock of French onion soup on a cold, snowy day.
763. A fledgling romance.
764. A pastor who believes what he preaches and forbids us to worry.
765. Getting to do this:
766. The quiet swish of skis on snow.
767. A lone bird singing in the quiet woods.
768. A reunion with the newlyweds!
769. Visiting their tiny new apartment.
770. Seeing them start out well.
771. Lunch with daughter's in-laws--sitting at a table surrounded by laughter and love and kindness and faith.
772. Sweet but all-too-short time with the dearest people in the world.
773. Teen daughters willing to linger at the table with the grown ups.
774. Getting to spend the night with mom.
775. Good roads for the drive home and arriving safely just ahead of the next big storm!

so glad you got this time with him, i'm definitely considering some alone time with my hubby... oh wait, six kids, three under three... not going to happen. maybe in a few years?:)
I am beyond thrilled for you Nancy.
and love love the photo. (am a little jealous in a friendly way )
Nancy, I celebrate all these things with you! Praise God for prayers answered. It looks like you've been in a winterwonderland--and sounds like your are "bound" to say there :).
Love you, lady.
So glad you are enjoying family time, and all the snow.
765 just happens to be something I love as well. We just took our eight-year-old out skiing for the first time. We were out for an hour and a half, and I bet we didn't even ski two city blocks! Super fun.
I missed you, but figured you were taking a break. Love your list as always. Glad you had a nice visit with the newlyweds.
I was wondering! I'm bummed that the path to Narnia is obscured...and glad to hear you have so many reasons for gratitude.
