All Things

From yesterday's sermon:
God does not shortchange us when in His providence He doesn't give us something we desire.  He has already given us all things.
He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all how will he not also with him graciously give us all things.  Romans 8:32
Continuing to number the things:

holy
experience

579.  The worship orchestra--musicians offering their gifts in worship, uniting in song those who love the old hymns together with those whose heart's desire is to sing a new song unto the Lord; all in the praise of the One who sang the very stars into existence.

580.  Grandfather helping beloved teenage son study for learner's permit test.

581.  Son passing the test!

582.  His smile when he walked out of the testing area.

583.  Conversation with a student from Cameroon during the two hours it took to get through the Department of Motor Vehicles--redeeming the time.

584.  Learning I'm going to be a great aunt.  (I mean, I'm already a GREAT aunt--ask my nieces and nephews, but I'm going to be a GREAT AUNT, and my sister is going to be a grandma!)

585.  Members of the timber sports team at the nearby university coming over with chainsaws to clean up and haul away the fallen tree.

586.  Phone date and conversation with former college roommate.

587.  The sound of geese honking as they fly overhead.

Congratulations on #581 and #584! I'm a fan of geese honking overhead as well. I think it's one of the thrilling sounds of autumn.
